1 ○ Why I’m Here
My journey and what it means for you
My entrepreneurial journey started when I was 18, the year my father passed away. He left my mother and me with two hundred dollars in cash, a pile of debt, and a house that was falling apart. Instead of going to college, I built my first business that year, because there was nothing else to build. I brought it to six figures in twelve months.
A year later I went to college, and I studied all the way to my PhD while running one full-time business, and later two, working 14 to 16 hours a day. I've never had a 9-to-5 job. It's been 29 years. I've learned a lot, and one of the things I've learned is money.
It's a great success story with a very dark chapter. There were chronic health issues and burnout. There was money that never stuck around, a financial rollercoaster of feast and famine, great gains and great losses. And there was a ceiling that wouldn't budge.
I threw mindset work and strategies at that ceiling, and I always found myself at exactly the same level as before. I kept throwing more mindset work, more strategies, more programs and more coaching at it, and it still wouldn't move.
Then I stopped. I paused and decided to return to myself. I relearned how to listen to my inner wisdom, the knowing that had always been there, and the signals of my body. I understood that for all those years I had been doing business like a man, running it all from my head and living in it full-time, focused on hustle, striving, and productivity. I worked hard, and I worked harder, completely ignoring that the way out, and the way higher, was deep inside me.
I discovered feminine embodiment and somatic modalities, and I applied them to my personal life, my business, and my creative work. I made better decisions when I stopped asking my head first and refused to follow my logical mind. It didn't always make sense from the outside (it still doesn't), but it worked out every single time. I worked less, made more, and had enough space in my life to enjoy every moment of it.
I've been on this journey my whole adult life, and that makes my experience unique. I know money intimately, especially money in women's hands, and I have strong opinions about it.
I want every entrepreneuress to make a great deal of money, and to make it in a way that's aligned with who she is. We are magnetic, powerful, wise women, and our true power and wisdom reside in the bodies we've been systematically disconnected from.
This is a conversation and a movement for each and every one of us. I’m glad you’re here.
